November 3, 2025 (Rochester, NY) – Trillium Health has announced that tickets are on sale for its annual World AIDS Day fundraiser, taking place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, located at 125 E. Main Street, Rochester.
This year’s celebration will be especially poignant as Trillium Health honors Dr. William Valenti, a nationally recognized HIV/AIDS physician and co-founder of Trillium Health. After 53 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Valenti is stepping down, leaving behind a legacy that has shaped HIV care locally and nationally.
World AIDS Day is observed globally on December 1st and serves as a day of remembrance, solidarity, and renewed commitment to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Trillium Health’s event will feature a tribute to Dr. Valenti’s career, grazing stations, an open bar, and entertainment. Guests are encouraged to wear cocktail attire with a pop of red, symbolizing awareness and support for people living with HIV.
“Dr. Valenti co-founded Community Health Network in 1989, which evolved into Trillium Health,” said Jason Barnecut-Kearns, President and CEO of Trillium Health. “He saw patients during the darkest days of the AIDS crisis, and throughout his career, HIV has been transformed from a death sentence into a manageable disease. This World AIDS Day, we will thank Dr. Valenti for making an everlasting impact on our community.”
“We’ve come a long way in the fight against HIV, but the fight is not over,” said Dr. William Valenti. “I look forward to continuing to support efforts to End the Epidemic through the Trillium Health Foundation.”
Tickets and sponsorships for World AIDS Day are available on the Trillium Health website (trilliumhealth.org/WAD).
