June 29, 2022 (Rochester, NY) – Tickets are now on sale for the 2022 Pride Picnic, which will be held on Sunday, July 10 from 12-6 pm at Genesee Valley Park, Roundhouse area, off Moore Rd. This event is open to all ages.
Tickets may be purchased online at rocpridecollective.com or at Equal Grounds Coffee House (cash only). Tickets are $5 and kids under 12 are free.
The entertainment will begin at noon and will include Tara's Reunion Piano Bar featuring Bob Dietch, Samantha Vega, Alicia Michaels, Miss and Mr. Gay Pride, and more.
There will be dancing with DJ Reign, Drag Bingo with Vivian Darling, a raffle, games, and vendors. The picnic will include food trucks selling hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage, portabella and veggie burgers, ice cream, and empanadas. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own food and beverages.
The picnic will be handicapped accessible, with ASL interpreters and braille bingo boards. There will be a lot of room to spread out for COVID safety. Pets must be leashed at all times.
This event is hosted by Rainbow Seniors ROC - a member of the ROC Pride Collective.
About the ROC Pride Collective
The ROC Pride Collective is a community-based coalition dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride in the Greater Rochester area. The group includes volunteers from the LGBTQ+ community and representatives from local nonprofits.
