Last year, we had an outstanding turnout at Pride!

The 2023 Rochester Pride Parade and Festival had its highest attendance ever – with over 15,000 participants.

Demand was so high that many community groups were turned away from the Parade and the Festival.

After the events, we gathered feedback, and we sent a survey in which community members requested more space, more shade, improved accessibility, and more parking.

Pride is all about inclusivity. Our goal is to make the events as inclusive as possible!

As we began preparing for 2024, we spoke with community leaders about the Parade the Festival. We held two focus groups, and we sent out a survey to leaders in the LGBTQ+ community.

Earlier this month, we filed a proposal with the county to move the Festival to a new location within the city – Beikirch Park, formerly known as Highland Park South – on July 20, 2024.

The application is still pending. It is subject to the approval of the County Legislature.

We are extremely grateful to our partners in the city and county, who have been so supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and the signature Pride events.

This is a great problem to have! We are so excited for July, when we can celebrate and honor the members of the LGBTQ+ community. The support has been overwhelming!

As more information becomes available, it will be posted on RochesterPride.com. If you have any questions or comments, please email pride@trilliumhealth.org.
