At Trillium Health, we're committed to providing access to healthcare to people from all backgrounds, regardless of income, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, race, or ethnicity. Since our founding days, we have stood up for those who have been marginalized and underrespresented. It is a torch we continue to carry in hopes of lighting a path forward to achieve health equity for all.
We believe that focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in our culture and our community enables us all to thrive. We also believe the delivery of high-quality culturally sensitive healthcare and related services is essential to achieving health equity.
Statements & Policies
Racism should have no part in our society, and we are continually and painfully reminded that it remains deeply entrenched in our country and our communities. We are committed to help address racism through our healthcare mission of ensuring health equity and through intentional change within our organization’s culture.
Trillium Health was proud to be named a Level Up Champion by the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI). According to RMAPI, "A Level Up Champion is an employer that has taken the first step toward wage equity by instituting a $15 or higher starting wage within their organization. This commitment demonstrates their investment in their employees and is one way they are doing their part to address poverty in the Greater Rochester Area."
We support the Greater Rochester NY Black Agenda Group's declaration that "Racism is a Public Health Crisis" and we believe that Black Lives Matter. We support peaceful protests and constructive dialogues for change. We support the Racial and Structural Equity (RASE) Commission and its mission to identify the root causes of racial inequities, and the implementation of solutions-based racial equity programs, policies, and laws.
We are committed to building a diverse, welcoming, inclusive and equitable work environment, and a culture of humility. We will ensure the delivery of high quality healthcare to everyone who walks through our doors.
