Trillium Health adds services for women and children at a new location

Trillium Health at 170 Science Parkway houses Pathway Pediatrics, a division of
Trillium Health, the Center for Gynecological Care & Wellness, and an on-site Pharmacy

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK (September 18, 2019) – Creating a home for two new health services—a pediatric practice and a gynecology practice—Trillium Health will cut the ribbon at its newly renovated 25,000 square-foot location at 170 Science Parkway in Rochester at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The new medical site will house Pathway Pediatrics, a division of Trillium Health, and the Center for Gynecological Care & Wellness. Also, an on-site pharmacy will offer convenience for picking up prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and home delivery.

Trillium Health recently finalized either business or employment agreements involving three established medical practices, including Partner in Women’s Health, Lake Affect OB/GYN & Midwifery Care, and Pathway Pediatrics. Medical care providers from these practices, along with office staff and care team members, have joined Trillium Health at 170 Science Parkway, including Dr. Laureen Burke, formerly of Partner in Women’s Health, Dr. Lesley Glowinsky, formerly of Pathway Pediatrics, and Dr. Jacquelyn Howitt and Joan Brenner, Certified Nurse Midwife, formerly of Lake Affect OB/GYN & Midwifery Care.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the opening of Trillium Health at 170 Science Parkway with expanded service offerings under the Trillium Health umbrella, including pediatrics and gynecological health care,” said Andrea DeMeo, President, and Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to continuing our tradition of providing extraordinary care that welcomes all at our new location.”

“Together with our experienced medical providers and care teams, we remain committed to providing the highest quality medical care in a patient-centered environment that supports healing, wellness, and health care for all we serve,” said Dr. Robert Biernbaum, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Trillium Health.

The new medical site, which offers ample parking, is located off of South Avenue near East Henrietta Road with public transportation at the corner of South Avenue and Science Parkway. Each of the patient care areas features comfortable and inviting waiting areas and exam rooms that have been designed to enhance the patient experience. Trillium Health at 170 Science Parkway is open for patient appointments Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5 pm. The on-site Pharmacy will be open until 5:30 p.m. during weekdays. On Saturdays, pediatric care will be available by appointment only.

Renovations to the new Trillium Health site at Science Parkway began in 2018, with the first phase focused on the Pharmacy, followed in March with the construction of the patient care areas. More than a dozen local companies provided project services, including these major vendors: DGA Builders, HB Cornerstone, Rozzi Architects, Sedgwick Business Interiors, and Tompkins Bank of Castile.

Comprehensive primary pediatric services provided by Pathway Pediatrics, a division of Trillium Health, include prenatal visits, routine well-child visits, immunizations, and same-day acute visits for sick children. The Center for Gynecological Care & Wellness provides routine gynecological screenings, including pap smears and breast exams, family planning and birth control, menopause management and post-menopausal care, answers to questions related to menstruation and periods, help with urinary problems, sexual health, and treatment of pelvic weakness.

More than 6,000 patients are expected to receive medical care at Trillium Health’s new location at 170 Science Parkway.
