Everything You Need to Know About the Rochester Pride Parade & Festival

Event Information, Parking, Shuttles & Street Closures

The Rochester Pride Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, rain or shine! For complete event details and answers to frequently asked questions, visit rochesterpride.com.

PARADE

  • The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of South Avenue and Science Parkway.
  • It will travel north on South Avenue, turn onto Highland Avenue, and conclude at the Purple Crosswalk—just steps from the festival in Highland Park.
  • 178 groups are registered to march.

FESTIVAL

  • The festival will take place in Highland Park from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • There will be food, drinks, games, activities, vendors, live music, and performances throughout the day.

Festival Entrances

  • 1440 South Avenue
  • 249 Highland Avenue (near the Lilac Adventure Zone)

Tickets

  • General Admission: $5
  • VIP Admission: $50
  • Children under 12: Free

General admission includes access to entertainment, food trucks, a beer and wine bar, the kids' area, and vendors.

VIP admission (ages 21+) includes all general admission benefits, plus access to an exclusive lounge area, a private restroom trailer, and a dedicated bar featuring beer, wine, and canned cocktails.

We recommend purchasing tickets online in advance to avoid the lines. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day of the event (cash only).

Cash Recommended

Please bring cash. Gate ticket sales are cash only, and cash will be needed for parking and beverage purchases. ATMs will be available on-site.

Important Reminders

  • Dogs are not permitted, except for service animals.
  • Outside food and beverages are not allowed, except for water bottles.
  • Large bags, duffels, and luggage are not permitted.

PARKING & SHUTTLE SERVICE

Please avoid parking on neighborhood streets. We recommend using a rideshare service or taking advantage of the free shuttle service.

Parking

  • MCC Lot A
  • Al Sigl Center on Elmwood Avenue ($5 cash) or on the grass lot adjacent to it
  • Free accessible parking at the Lilac Adventure Zone (249 Highland Avenue)

Shuttle Stops

  • MCC Lot A
  • Parade Stop – E. Henrietta Road and South Avenue
  • Festival Stop – Highland Avenue and Goodman Street

Shuttle Schedule

  • 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Round-trip service between MCC Lot A and the Parade Stop
  • 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Continuous round-trip service connecting MCC Lot A, the Parade Stop, and the Festival Stop

STREET CLOSURES

Beginning at 9:00 a.m.

  • Science Parkway

Beginning at 10:00 a.m.

  • South Avenue from E. Henrietta Road to Highland Avenue
  • Eastbound lane of Highland Avenue from Mt. Hope Avenue to South Avenue
  • Southbound lane of South Avenue from Reservoir Road to Highland Avenue
  • Elmwood Avenue from Mt. Hope Avenue to Goodman Street
  • Side streets along the parade route will not have access to South Avenue, including:
    • Boothe Street
    • Warren Street
    • Rosemont Street
    • Gold Street
    • Langslow Street
    • Stewart Street
    • May Street
    • Wall Street

The Rochester Police Department will reopen streets as soon as it is safe to do so.
