Karina Vattana, MD, FAAP
Dr. Vattana is a Rochester native who graduated from Irondequoit High School in 2009. She went to the University of Buffalo, where she completed her undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Spanish Language, and then stayed to complete her medical doctorate. Dr. Vattana finished her residency training in General Pediatrics at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester in June 2021, and joined Pathway Pediatrics in July. Dr. Vattana’s professional interests are in puberty education, adolescent medicine and addressing inequities in health education for youth, but she adores caring for patients of all ages! In her spare time, Dr. Vattana enjoys running and indoor cycling as well as traveling, exploring new restaurants and volunteering as a board member of the Laotian American Scholarship Foundation of Rochester. Her favorite part of Rochester is its rich history of progressive thinkers and innovators, and she is thrilled to be able to contribute to Rochester’s future as a pediatrician.
