The Route

The 1 Day AIDS Red Ribbon Ride has become well known for having a great route and being big on fun and safety. Starting in Rochester this ride route highlights the Genesee River Valley, known for its beautiful landscapes and dramatic views in Letchworth State Park.

This ride is also aimed at getting everyone involved. With 3 different ride legnths of 20, 50 and 100 miles, all ability levels are welcome from beginners to hard core cyclists.

20 Mile Route
The 20 mile route will take riders out of the city limits through back country farm roads into historic Scottsville and along the Genesee River. This route features gentle rolling hills, mild climbs and will have 1 rest stop halfway through the ride.

50 Mile Route
This ride is for anyone looking to hit that 50 mile mark with a scenic trip across the Genesee Valley and over the Genesee River. This route features rolling hills, 758’ of climbs and will have 5 rest stops along the ride.

100 Mile Route
This is one awesome ride you will have to train hard for and will not forget. Starting in Rochester you will see history unravel as the Genesee River turns from an industrial river to a breathtaking wild river cutting a wide gorge through the landscape. You will truly know why it is called the Genesee River Valley after this ride, with some of the greatest views towards the valley along the East and West sides of the Genesee River. This route features a variety of challenging terrain including 2740’ of climbs. We will take care of the riders along the way at 7 rest stops. Additionally, the 100 mile riders will have a healthy lunch within Letchworth State Park overlooking Middle Falls.
