Rochester, NY — The Rochester Business Journal Health Care Achievement Awards were held on Friday, March 24th recognizing area health care professionals who make a significant impact on the quality of health care in our area.
Honorees were selected in nine categories. The following Trillium Health providers were recognized:
- Health Care Staff: Bill Schaefer
- Physician: William Valenti, M.D.
Schaefer, a Physician Assistant has been at Trillium Health since 2008 and has taken a leadership role in the organization’s creation of the Center for Transgender Health. In 2012 Schaefer helped launch the LGBT Health program at Trillium Health.
Dr. William Valenti, co-founder of the Community Health Network – the legacy organization to Trillium Health is a Staff Physician and Senior Vice President of Strategic Advancement for the organization. He is a member of Governor Cuomo’s Task Force to End AIDS and recently release his memoirs AIDS: A Matter of Urgency, with proceeds benefitting Trillium Health.
