Madeline Truman, EdD, MHC

Dr. Madeline Truman is a Rochester native who earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from St. John Fisher University and her doctorate from the University of Rochester. She holds advanced certificates in the Mind/Body Connection and URMC Integrated Care and Medical Family Therapy, and has worked in clinical roles at Strong Hospital’s Division of Outpatient Endocrinology, Rochester Regional Health, and Highland Family Medicine. She has also served as an adjunct psychology professor at St. John Fisher University and a clinical supervisor at the University of Rochester.
 
Dr. Truman specializes in working with individuals with co-occurring mental and physical health conditions, including chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and irritable bowel syndrome. She provides individual, couples, and group therapy for those navigating trauma, major life transitions, and challenges with emotional processing. Her approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, emphasizing collaboration and honoring each individual’s lived experience.
