Coral Jiménez-Ricaurte, PhD
Coral Jiménez-Ricaurte earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in Health Psychology at the Rochester Institute of Technology and her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester’s Counseling Center.
Her clinical work explores how health and social factors shape well-being. She provides individual and group psychotherapy, integrating relational and interpersonal approaches with evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).
In addition to her clinical practice, Coral has conducted research on health disparities and the social determinants of health, with a focus on understanding how context and systems influence mental health outcomes.
Coral is committed to fostering a collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel supported in their growth and development. She offers services in both English and Spanish.
