Presented by the ROC Rainbow Seniors

July 10, 2022 from 12:00-6:00 PM

The Roundhouse Shelter at Genesee Valley Park

Kick-off Pride week at the 50th anniversary of the community picnic! Join us for food, entertainment, and fun for all.

This year is the 50th Anniversary of Rochester’s Pride Picnic!

The picnic will be held on Sunday, July 10 from 12-6 pm at Genesee Valley Park, Roundhouse area, off Moore Rd. This event is open to all ages.

A donation of $5 is asked - free for kids under 12! Register and get tickets here. You can also buy tickets at Equal Grounds Coffee House (cash only).

The "throw-back" themed entertainment starts at noon with a Tara's Reunion Piano Bar featuring Bob Dietch. Samantha Vega will MC a lineup of favorite entertainers including Alicia Michaels, Miss and Mr. Gay Pride, and more. Dance to DJ Reign, play Drag Bingo with Vivian Darling, bring money for the retail vendors and gift raffle, play cornhole, visit community organization tables, and more. There will be activity bags for the kids!

It's mostly a "bring your own food and beverages" cookout, though we have vendors for hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage, portabella and veggie burgers, ice cream, and empanadas. We are not selling alcohol, but you can bring your own very moderate amount per park rules. Pets must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after.

The picnic is handicapped accessible, with ASL interpreters, and there will be braille bingo boards for 10. There is a lot of room to spread out for COVID safety.

Let's have some fun! This event is hosted by Rainbow Seniors ROC - a member of the ROC Pride Collective.
